RECOMMENDED PREVENTATIVE HEALTHCARE TESTS:
- Intestinal Parasite Exams
- A test of fecal material.
- Recommended each year.
- Heartworm Testing
- 4DX Test A blood test screening test for Heartworm Disease, and 3 tick-transmitted infections: Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma
- Recommended each year for dogs.
- Heartworm Antibody Test
- Screens for exposure to heartworm disease from mosquitoes.
- Recommended each year for cats.
- Health Screen Blood Profile
- A blood test evaluating your pet’s liver, kidneys, blood sugar, electrolytes, blood proteins, and complete blood count to screen for infections or anemia
- Recommended each year.
- Urinalysis
- A test of urine looking for urinary tract infection, diseases affecting the kidneys, urinary crystals, and stones.
- Recommended each year.
- ECG or EKG – also known as Electrocardiogram
- A simple test looking for signs of heart disease
- Recommended at 6 years of age and each year thereafter.
